A crucial aspect of staying aware and purposeful during quarantine has been to remain vocal about expressing support for mental health advocacy and social issues. Being fortunate enough to have fostered a community on Instagram with individuals across the world, I felt it was both a privilege and a responsibility to focus a significant portion of my attention towards causes important to me. From the Black Lives Matter movement, to Suicide Prevention Month, I wanted to create meaningful, thought-provoking, and honest posts that I’m grateful were shared thousands of times. This has and will always be a part of the legacy I want to leave with my art: to continue to give more of myself to others to make them feel seen, heard, understood, and valued.
